Ready to spend the next few months on some kitchen remodeling for your Long Island home? You’re not alone.

More than two million kitchens around the country will be refurbished by the end of 2016, according to projections published by Consumer Reports on June 1. The final number of renovations could break the all-time high of 2.4 million set in 2007.

That also means two million households are likely to spend anywhere from $5,000 to $45,000 for new kitchens. Home Adviser puts the average cost for kitchen renovations at $19,993 per project.
