Bored of the same
old kitchen you work around in? It might be time for a remodel that works not only
as an aesthetic overhaul but also as a functional upgrade. Here are a few tips.
Choose the right cabinets – If you’re looking for ways to revamp your storage options,
consider getting new cabinets. However, you must consider some important factors
first. For one, if you have a pretty high ceiling (say, about 8 feet), cabinets
that go to the ceiling would be a great fit as they offer more storage and occupy
less floor space.
Store knives appropriately – You have to be sharp when storing knives. You can do
this by having a designated spot for knives where it would be much easier to select
which tool goes better with what job, while also keeping them well out of reach
of children. Nifty knife drawers with individual sheathes for the blades would do
well.
Keep it reasonable – What this means is that you should be vigilant about
over-decorating with certain design accents, as such pieces may hinder the way you’re
supposed to work around the kitchen.
Keep it bright – Rarely does anyone like to work in a dimly lit kitchen. Bright color palettes
work well with kitchens as they make the place feel more inviting, as opposed to
darker hues which are the complete opposite.
